Adding rustic style to your home

You hear rustic and I know what you're saying. Oh no, too much wood. Well rustic design is new and vibrant. Wood yes, but not wall to wall. Let me tell you some ways to incorporate simple rustic style.

Wall treatments

Stikwood has a peel and stick wall product that I am so in love with. These reclaimed wood panels come in various lengths to add depth and variety to a project. Not comfortable with committing to an entire wall? Create a custom headboard or art installation.

Furniture

Many designer furniture lines are featuring wood furniture products. My favorite home decor store is Zgallerie, because they have a variety of pieces for many design styles. Their Sequoia line is casted from the root of an acacia tree, and has a very organic look.

Accessories

Organic accessories are featured in many designer ads and magazines. Cut geodes are used as bookends and sculptural elements. Homegoods recently featured a line of vases that were a blend of blown glass on driftwood bases. Even art features rustic elements and organic lines.
